<p>But does democratized culture mean better art, film, music and literature or is true talent instead flooded and drowned in the vast digital ocean of mass culture? Is it cultural democracy or mediocrity?</p>
<p>This is the question addressed by PressPausePlay, a documentary film containing interviews with some of the world’s most influential creators of the digital era.</p></blockquote>
<p>The screening is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. &#8211; 9:00 p.m. at the Linen Building in downtown Boise. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food item to be donated to the <a href="http://www.idahofoodbank.org/" target="_blank">Idaho Foodbank</a>.</p>

<p>This is an annual event that showcases the communication discipline through an interactive gathering of professionals, students and prospective students.  This year&#8217;s event is scheduled for <strong>Tuesday, May 3rd</strong> from 4:30 p.m. &#8211; 6:30 p.m. in the Jordan Ballroom at Boise State University&#8217;s <a href="http://sub.boisestate.edu" target="_blank">Student Union Building</a>.</p>

<p>If you&#8217;ve been to an Ignite Boise event in the past, you have a fairly good idea of what to expect, although from my experience, each one is just different enough to keep them interesting.  If you&#8217;ve never been to one, however, now&#8217;s as good of a time as any to start.</p>
