Spend Drake Cooper’s money

Seriously, you can help spend Drake Cooper’s money.

Well, donate it to the Idaho Food Bank, that is.

Here’s the deal. Drake Cooper, through Ponywolf, has created Bad Company Party. As they described it, “This year we’ve gamified the annual company get together so you take the reigns and turn the booze filled, table dancing, office gossiping company party into something good for others.”

Now, for the spend Drake Cooper’s money part…

“For every share of Bad Company Party, Drake Cooper will donate $1 to the Idaho Food Bank up to a total donation of a $1000 between now and December 31st, 2014. Make sure you use the social links at the beginning of the game so your share gets counted and money goes to help those in need.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Drake Cooper has stepped up to support the Idaho Food Bank during the holidays. But this year’s effort also offers the side benefit of demonstrating Ponywolf’s capabilities too. Well played, DC, well played.

Now, go forth and play. Share. Repeat.

BAF Event: PressPausePlay Screening

The Boise Advertising Federation’s final event for 2011 will be a screening of the film PressPausePlay.

About the film:

The digital revolution of the last decade has unleashed creativity and talent of people in an unprecedented way, unleashing unlimited creative opportunities.

But does democratized culture mean better art, film, music and literature or is true talent instead flooded and drowned in the vast digital ocean of mass culture? Is it cultural democracy or mediocrity?

This is the question addressed by PressPausePlay, a documentary film containing interviews with some of the world’s most influential creators of the digital era.

The screening is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Linen Building in downtown Boise. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food item to be donated to the Idaho Foodbank.

[Insert Appropriate Holiday-Related Headline Here]

Sorry, I just couldn’t bring myself to write a holiday-related headline this early in the season.  But the fact of the matter is that ‘the season’ is here.  And here’s one notable example:

Drake Cooper is putting on their Second Annual Turkey Drive, benefiting the Idaho Food Bank.  As they did last year, the folks at Drake are collecting turkeys to be donated to the Idaho Food Bank.  This year’s drive takes place on Friday, November 13th from 8:00am – 12:00pm.  Coffee and doughnuts will be available for everyone who brings in a turkey.

Another twist this year involves a little friendly competition: The agency/company/group that brings in the most turkeys this year will receive a prize package (of course you’re all free to write down Idaho Ad Agencies as the organization — really, I wouldn’t mind).
