Typochondria, the Boise State University Graphic Design Portfolio Show is coming up on Thursday, May 2nd at the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy.

This show features work from 18 designers from Boise State University, and includes a professional hour from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., then opens to the public from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Parking is available near the facility.

This is a hybrid position and development will be split between .NET and JavaScript coding.

Front-end dev skills are a must: ability to code semantic, standards-based html; bulletproof css and have considerable experience with JavaScript. Advanced level JQuery and experience with JavaScript MV* frameworks such as backbone.js and/or knockout.js a plus.

Candidate must be self-directed with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in our fast-paced environment with a team of art directors, designers, writers, programmers, and account managers.

Magic Valley Advertising Federation Luncheon

The next Magic Valley Advertising Federation luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, April 11th and will feature guest speakers Jessica Flynn, Karianne Fallow and Amanda Watson of Red Sky Public Relations, who will give a presentation on “Content and Community.”

2013 Rockies – Venetian Masquerade Ball

The 2013 Rockie Awards are coming up on Saturday, April 20th. This year’s theme – Venetian Masquerade Ball – will accompany a change in both format and venue.

The show will be held at the Linen Building at 14th and Grove in downtown Boise. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., announcements start at 8:00, and the gallery will be open from 7:30 – midnight. The show will also include performances from DJ Dangerous Dave, Anti-Magic and the Red Light Variety Show. Tickets and more information are available through the Boise Advertising Federation.
