Business as unusual

Life is anything but normal these days.

Nevertheless, business still happens. And must keep happening.

So here’s what I’m going to do.

I am going to keep sharing updates, information, and news as relevant and appropriate when time allows. I’ll answer questions as I can, either via email or Twitter.

And perhaps I’ll even set up an occasional virtual coffee or happy hour get together, if there’s an interest.

The ad industry — both nationally and in Idaho — has been beat up in the past by forces way outside of anyone’s control, but my hope is that everyone will be able to adapt and adjust as needed, and get through this together.

Stay safe, stay apart, and be well.

Call for entries: Ad Age Small Agency Awards

Since virtually every agency in Idaho qualifies as a small agency under Ad Age’s guidelines (sorry Publicis and Accenture Interactive)…

Each year, the Ad Age Small Agency Awards uncover and honor small, independent agencies that are producing innovative and exciting work. These teams strategize and execute groundbreaking ideas to compete with work done by some of advertising’s oldest, largest and most sought-after partners.

The competition is tough, but the reward is big. Finalists will be notified mid-June and winners are announced and celebrated at our Small Agency Conference & Awards, to be held in July 2020.

The final deadline to enter is April 23, 2020 at 5pm EDT

More information about the Ad Age Small Agency Awards, how to apply, and past winners can be found here.

What are you doing on Saturday?

Yes, you.

AIGA Idaho is looking for help.

They need advertising and design professionals to help review and critique student work at Boise State University this Saturday, March 7th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The event will be held in Room 207 of the Interactive Learning Center – 2120 W University Dr, and volunteers can sign up online now.

This is a great chance to spend a few hours with some talented students (not to mention potential future employees or coworkers), and lend a helping hand to those on their way up.
