Is This the Year?

Recently, Tanzina Vega and Stuart Elliott tackled that question in an article published in the New York Times.  Give the article a read — it’ll be worth you time.

MVAF Event: Workshop 11 – How to Build Your Brand Through Social Media

The next Magic Valley Advertising Federation event, Workshop 11 – How to Build Your Brand Through Social Media, is scheduled for Thursday, January 13th.

From the MVAF:

In this workshop, hear the latest on Social Media trends—for individuals and small/medium-sized businesses, what’s coming, what works and what doesn’t—and discover how Charles J. Orlando—relationship expert, Facebook Personality, and author of the highly-acclaimed book The Problem with Women… is Men: The Evolution of a Man’s Man to a Man of Higher Consciousness—embraced these challenges and leveraged Social Engagement to achieve awareness, mainstream TV and radio interviews, and to crack the code of Social Media—growing his Facebook Fan Page from 300 fans in February 2010 to over 52,000 in July 2010 —with zero dollars spent on marketing.

This workshop will be held at the Shilo Inn in Twin Falls.  Check in is at 1:30 p.m. and the workshop starts at 2:00 p.m.  Cost is $35 for members and $50 for non-members.

Fore more details and RSVP information, see the event’s listing on the MVAF website.
