Pitchers and Pints Graduation Celebration

AIGA Idaho is celebrating this semester’s graduating designers with a graduation celebration at Pitchers and Pints in downtown Boise.

More about the event:

An AIGA Event to show support for this semesters graduating designers. We think that the professional hour at the portfolio event dose not allow the student or professionals enough time to really get to know each other. So lets have some beers and rub elbows a little!

For more information or to RSVP, check out the event listing on Facebook.

Boise Cutters March Meeting

The Boise Cutters will be holding their monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 9th from 7:00 p.m. – 10:0 p.m. at the Owyhee Plaza Hotel’s Den.

This month’s gathering will include a demo reel from Yellow Box Studio, and an explanation of how they use 3D imaging and compositing in their work and where they think the technology is going.

The group described itself as:

We are producers, writers, motion & graphic artists, broadcast and film professionals, advertisers, and students of the modern cool. What binds us all is our appreciation for Final Cut Pro’s ability to provide the tools that creativity demands.

More information about the event, and the group, can be found on their respective Facebook pages

Just a reminder for those in the Treasure Valley.

The Boise screening of ART & COPY will be this Thursday, March 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the Egyptian Theatre.  Proceeds from the screening benefit TrICA – Treasure Valley Institute for Children’s Art.  More details about the screening are available on Facebook.

And, to add a little personality to the event, here’s a reminder poster for the event designed by Drake Cooper’s Cale Cathey.

Foerstel’s Christmas Wish

As seen recently on Foerstel’s Facebook Page:

Foerstel******PLEASE READ***** To all of our Foerstel Friends and to our peers in the design and marketing world. We are very happy in our new office in the Linen District area and enjoy being in the heart of our community. However, because of our location, we see “everyday” how the homeless in our community move in-between shelters and sometimes just don’t have the capacity to make it to some of those shelters. Whatever the situation, we look out, see, and know that these people are trying to survive, especially in this unbearably cold weather!

****HERE IS OUR CHRISTMAS WISH*******Please look in your home…we are sure that you have to have 1 or 2 used blankets that you no longer need, are ready to throw out or donate. We ask that you please bring them to our office at 249 S. 16th St. between now and Friday, Dec. 18th. We want to just hand them out to these people, so they have a blanket to call their own and help shield somewhat from the cold.

We’re not asking you to go buy new blankets, just bring in your own well loved blankets that are no longer needed. … See More

Please respond here with questions or call Laura at 371.2704

Thank you in advance! We want to make a difference in our little community

If you can help, please do.
