Quick spin around the new hire news

A number of new faces have been showing up in various shops, so it seemed fitting to do a quick run-through of new hire news we’ve come across over the past few months or so. In no particular order:

Jenni Kimball has joined Rizen Creative as an account manager. Before joining Rizen, Kimball was director of marketing for 43rd State Holdings in Boise.

Over at Oliver RussellCaitlin Copple Masingill recently joined their team as public relations director. Masingill is a former Missoula, Montana city councilwoman, a longtime communications consultant and a former journalist. Most recently, she worked in the Boise office of a public affairs firm. Masingill holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Montana and a bachelor’s degree from the College of Idaho.

Also at Oliver Russell, Holly Conti joined the team in March of this year as an account coordinator (and we were remiss in noting it).
Update: Shortly after publishing, we discovered that Holly has since been promoted from account coordinator to producer. Congratulations Holly.

At Stoltz Marketing Group they’ve added two new folks to their staff recently. Katherine Johnson has joined the agency as a senior account manager, while Stephanie Clements is an account coordinator.

DaviesMoore is in on the trend, too, adding Becca Owens as their newest senior web developer, and Lisa Cloyd as director of client services.

Meanwhile, over at Mitchell+Palmer, they’ve added Jenni McConnell as an account / project manager, and Kymm Cornelison as social media strategist

There you have it. Have we missed anyone? Most likely. If so, drop us a line and let us know, so we can do it again.

Job opening: Art Director at Rizen Creative

Rizen Creative in Boise is looking for an Art Director to join their team. From the job listing on LinkedIn:

Rizen Creative is looking for an Art Director.

Who’s (or what’s) Rizen Creative?

Rizen Creative–you can call us Rizen–is a creative studio in downtown Boise. We are nine underdogs that work on behalf of a bunch of underdogs (we call them clients). We spend our days thinking, creating and executing work that “nails it” for said clients. It could be a video, a website, a facebook contest, a print ad or a killer strategy. Whatever it is, we do it with passion. You’ll find a happy family environment, where we motivate each other to be better. You will not find cubicles, egos or bs.

You’ll also find a stocked fridge and a candy drawer.

Who are you?

You are a driven Art Director (maybe you call yourself a designer, a creative, or just a really talented human). You know the difference between kerning and leading. You see things differently…that’s ok in our book, frankly, required. You play well with others and love the art of critique. Good enough isn’t good enough for you. You take great joy in telling stories about creative work, whether it’s yours or someone you’ve never met. You yell out font names on signs while driving. You live design.

So what does a Rizen Art Director do?

They make ideas come to life…

New hires at Rizen Creative

It seems there’s a bit of a hiring spree taking place these days. In some of the more recent news on that front, Rizen Creative has added two to their team. From Rizen’s recent release:

Rizen Creative recently welcomed two new members to its team.

Tara Troutman joins Rizen as an Account Executive. She brings loads of strategic insight and project management experience to our existing agency relationships.

Before joining Rizen, Tara worked at Healthwise for more than eight years as Product Marketing Manager; as Account Manager at Northwest Research Group; and as Account Manager at a Cincinnati advertising agency whose clients included Procter & Gamble.

Tara holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from James Madison University (2003). She moved to Boise in 2005. She and her husband Jeremia have a three-year-old daughter and a rescue dog. In her spare time she maintains a small garden and reads historical fiction and mysteries.

Colby Thueson comes to Rizen as an Art Director. Branding is his specialty; he sees it as an opportunity to “create something from nothing.”

Colby spent the last six years as Lead Velata Designer at Scentsy, focusing mostly on print campaigns. He has also freelanced as a graphic designer.

Colby received his BFA in graphic design from Boise State in 2009. He met his wife Sarah at Scentsy; they have a two-year-old son. He draws and sketches when he has free time, and can often be found carrying a notebook.

Congratulations to both Tara and Colby.
