Once a year, ditching the office to chase a little white ball around isn’t just tolerated — it’s the whole point. The Legends of Advertising Golf Tournament brings together Boise’s creatives, marketers, media folks, and the clients who put up with all of us, for one relaxed day on the course. We’ll toast the legends who built Idaho’s ad industry and put some money behind the students building what’s next. Score doesn’t matter nearly as much as showing up.

It’s a scramble, so your team plays from the best shot every time — no pressure on any one swing. If even one person in your foursome can occasionally make solid contact, you’re set. Nobody’s here to count your strokes.

In Memoriam: Tim Pace

Recently we came across news that Tim Pace passed away.

For those who have been around the industry long enough, you almost inevitably crossed paths with Tim at some point. He was one of a kind, and not someone you’d soon forget.

From Tim’s obituary:

Timothy “Tim” Woodrow Pace, 74, of Nampa, passed away peacefully at home in Nampa on July 10, 2026 surrounded by family and the comfort of a place he had called home for several decades.

Tim was born October 7, 1951, in Douglas, Arizona, to Marvin Jackson Pace and Elizabeth Jane Pace. He attended Nampa High School before continuing his education at Northwest Nazarene College (NNC) and going on to graduate from Boise State University with a degree in Business Administration. Tim got his start in radio, a beginning that launched a distinguished career in advertising. He built a reputation over the years for his creativity and dedication to the craft, leaving a lasting mark on the industry he loved. Tim cherished the time he spent with his family and held fast to the traditions that brought them together year after year. He will be remembered for the steady presence he offered to those who loved him.

Tim is survived by his siblings: Marvin “Jack” Pace (Ginny), Elizabeth “Janet” Minor (Robert), and Steve Pace; his nieces and nephews: Denise (Tom) Pace, David (Jennifer) Pace, Philip (Minna) Pace, Justin (Kara) Minor, and LeeAnne (Brandon) Mehling; and his great-nieces and great-nephews: Ashton, Lexi, William, Rogan, Delton, Genevieve, Jordyn, and Addison. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Jackson Pace and Elizabeth Jane Pace.

Tim’s memory will live on in the traditions he helped preserve and the family he loved so well. There will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends donations be made to your local Boys and Girls Club in Tim’s honor.
