Oliver Russell adds a trio of new talent

Boise’s Oliver Russell has recently added a trio of new folks to their team:

Senior Art Director Crissie McDowell brings more than 10 years of award-winning experience working with clients such as Blue Cross of Idaho, Simplot Food Group, and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®.

Stuart Walsh will serve as interactive developer and has nearly a decade of experience developing websites, interactive content and video games for agencies and clients including the J.R. Simplot Company and Aire rafts, among others.

Kevin Winslow is the firm’s new public relations and social media manager. Winslow comes from Idaho Power where he launched and managed the company’s social media channels. Prior to moving to Boise, he worked in Seattle as a senior social media analyst for Fortune 100 companies.

Said Russ Stoddard, founder and President of Oliver Russell, in a recent release about the new hires, “We’re really excited to expand our offerings to clients. These people know the area, they fit well with our firm, and they share our mission of furthering purpose-driven companies and causes.”

Project Manager for Campaign Production

DESCRIPTION
At Drake Cooper, the Project Manager for Campaign Production role requires an innovative mindset that is always pushing for smarter more engaging and effective solutions in all areas of the modern marketing landscape. You will need to interrogate the brief, scope the project and allocate the necessary resources and budget. Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to build strong and durable relationships with colleagues and clients is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the team through the full production process, from ideation and pre-production, through production and post.
  • Manage the coordination of on-site productions to deliver the product on brief and on budget.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Select and negotiate all outside vendor contracts based on scope/budget/timeline/creative vision of project. Ensure proper paperwork is completed.
  • Develop on-going relationships with clients and vendors, facilitate client requests and help manage client expectations.
  • Collaborate with Brand Manager, creative team and strategists to define project strategy and scope, create budget estimates, write creative briefs, write media briefs, create production estimates, weekly job/budget tracking while ensuring that quality standards are adhered to.
  • Route creative layouts, scripts, copy decks, presentation materials, digital and media files, etc. to appropriate team members for review, proofing, revisions and approval.
  • Manage project accounting for all assigned project including developing a budget, hour tracking, reconciliation, purchase orders, invoicing and client reports.
  • Establish regular cadence of project communication and documentation.

Contract Interactive Designer/Front End Developer

DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Interactive Designer to create amazing user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior user interface design skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to markup
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders

Digital Project Manager

BOISE ADVERTISING FEDERATION ANNOUNCES 2015/2016 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

BOISE, ID – The Boise Advertising Federation (BAF) elected its 2015/2016 Board of Directors at the organization’s annual installation of the board event in Boise, Idaho. The incoming board includes a mix of advertising agency, client side and media professionals representing 7 area advertising agencies, 3 media groups and 2 local organizations. Tyler LaDouceur (President), Lacy Wiest (1st Vice President), Andy Petersen (2nd Vice President) and Katherine Johnson (Chairman) represent the board’s leadership team.

Established in 1910, the BAF is the oldest trade organization in the state of Idaho with the purpose of educating and promoting professional development among its membership, and guiding and protecting the advertising industry from unwanted legislation. As a non-profit volunteer organization, the BAF relies on the assistance of local marketing and advertising professionals to organize annual events such as the Rockies, Get Your Think On!, and the Legends of Advertising Golf Tournament.
