Rockies – the winners

Saturday evening, The Rockies happened. As an in-person event. Outdoors.

There was sun, and rain, and wind, and even some lightning in the distance. But Idaho spring weather aside, much credit to the Boise Advertising Federation and Idaho Advertising Federation for pulling off the show, making it comfortable for those who attended in person, and for offering a livestream for those that chose to watch from afar.

And now, a few highlights.

Call for entries: Ad Age Small Agency Awards

Since virtually every agency in Idaho qualifies as a small agency under Ad Age’s guidelines (sorry Publicis and Accenture Interactive)…

Each year, the Ad Age Small Agency Awards uncover and honor small, independent agencies that are producing innovative and exciting work. These teams strategize and execute groundbreaking ideas to compete with work done by some of advertising’s oldest, largest and most sought-after partners.

The competition is tough, but the reward is big. Finalists will be notified mid-June and winners are announced and celebrated at our Small Agency Conference & Awards, to be held in July 2020.

The final deadline to enter is April 23, 2020 at 5pm EDT

More information about the Ad Age Small Agency Awards, how to apply, and past winners can be found here.

Rockie Awards – The Winners

For those who might have missed the show in April, the Boise Advertising Federation recently published the complete list of winners from this year’s Rockie Awards.

Of the 429 entries, 123 were recognized at various levels – Gold, Silver, or Citation. Gold winners were automatically forwarded to the AAF District 11 competition.

Notables from this year’s show: Drake Cooper won Best of Show for their 18 Summers campaign, Duft Watterson took Gold in 8 of the 16 categories, and Christal Gammill was this year’s recipient of the Idaho Advertising Federation Silver Medal Award.

The complete list of award winners and select samples of winning work can be found on the Boise Advertising Federation’s website.

Call for nominations: Silver Medal Award

The IAF Silver Medal Award is presented annually by the Idaho Advertising Federation to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to advertising by advancing the industry’s standards, demonstrating creative excellence, and promoting social welfare.

Following receipt of nominations, the IAF Board of Directors selects a regional panel of Idaho judges to review nominees based on a number of criteria. Only one silver medal is awarded each year, and judges may elect not to award the Silver Medal in any given year.

The Silver Medal winner will be announced at the annual Rockie Awards Show hosted by the Idaho Advertising Federation on April 28, 2018. The recipient’s name is listed with other winners throughout the nation for presentation to the National Conference of the American Advertising Federation.
