Call for Nominations: IAF Silver Medal Award

After a hiatus for the past few years (can’t imagine why), the Idaho Advertising Federation is once again accepting nominations for the Silver Medal Award.

For those who aren’t familiar with the award:

The IAF Silver Medal Award is presented annually by the Idaho Advertising Federation to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to advertising by advancing the industry’s standards, demonstrating creative excellence, and promoting social welfare.

Following receipt of nominations, the IAF Board of Directors selects a regional panel of Idaho judges to review nominees based on the criteria that follow. Only one Silver Medal is awarded each year, and judges may elect not to award the Silver Medal in any given year.

The Silver Medal winner is announced at the annual Rockie Awards Banquet hosted by the Idaho Advertising Federation. The recipient’s name is listed with other winners throughout the nation for presentation to the National Conference of the American Advertising Federation.

More details about the award, and the nomination process, can be found on the Boise Advertising Federation’s website.

Nominations for this year’s award must be submitted by Friday, March 10th.

Rockies – the winners

Saturday evening, The Rockies happened. As an in-person event. Outdoors.

There was sun, and rain, and wind, and even some lightning in the distance. But Idaho spring weather aside, much credit to the Boise Advertising Federation and Idaho Advertising Federation for pulling off the show, making it comfortable for those who attended in person, and for offering a livestream for those that chose to watch from afar.

And now, a few highlights.

Call for entries: Ad Age Small Agency Awards

Since virtually every agency in Idaho qualifies as a small agency under Ad Age’s guidelines (sorry Publicis and Accenture Interactive)…

Each year, the Ad Age Small Agency Awards uncover and honor small, independent agencies that are producing innovative and exciting work. These teams strategize and execute groundbreaking ideas to compete with work done by some of advertising’s oldest, largest and most sought-after partners.

The competition is tough, but the reward is big. Finalists will be notified mid-June and winners are announced and celebrated at our Small Agency Conference & Awards, to be held in July 2020.

The final deadline to enter is April 23, 2020 at 5pm EDT

More information about the Ad Age Small Agency Awards, how to apply, and past winners can be found here.
