New Hires at Stoltz Marketing Group

Stoltz Marketing Group has added to their staff with two new hires:

First, Sydney Sallabanks has joined the agency as Public Relations Director to lead the agency’s strategic communications and public relations practice. with two decades of public relations experience, Sydney has particular expertise in media relations, crisis mitigation, public affairs, strategic communications, campaigns and signature events.

Prior to joining Stoltz Marketing Group, she was most recently was principal at Gallatin Public Affairs, where she was responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications plans and managing media relations for a diverse group of clients including the University of Idaho, Friedman Memorial Airport and Idaho Public Television. Before Gallatin, she was director of communications at University of Idaho, Boise where she served as regional press secretary to the university president and managed internal and external communications.   She is president of the Idaho delegation of the Public Relations Society of America and a board member and lobbyist of the Idaho Press Club.  She is a longstanding volunteer with local charitable organizations including Junior League Boise and Big Brother/Big Sister. A graduate of Leadership Boise, Sydney has also been honored as “Woman of the Year” by the Idaho Business Review and recognized as one of Boise’s “Accomplished Under 40.” She is a graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism.

The second new hire or note is, well…me.

No, this is not some belated April Fool’s Day joke.

I’ve joined Stoltz Marketing Group as Interactive Services Manager.  I’ll be working with a variety of key accounts, and will be involved with a number of client and agency initiatives in the online space.  Long-time readers of the Idaho Ad Agencies blog are familiar with my past experience and history, so I’ll spare you the details here.

But fear not, dear readers — the Idaho Ad Agencies blog will continue much as it has in the past.  Like the industry, it has evolved over time, and will continue to do so into the future.

New Hires and Promotion at Red Sky PR

Red Sky Public Relations is growing again.

Most recently they’ve added to their staff with these new Account Executives:

Chad Biggs — Chad has been on both the client- and agency-side, as an Internal Communications Manager, and as a Public Relations Consultant for a variety of public and private companies.  He was involved in internal communications at Albertsons during their acquisition by SUPERVALU, and has also worked with clients in travel and tourism, healthcare, education and other industries.

Samantha O’Lea — Samantha recently relocated to Boise from the Los Angeles area, where she worked at the Los Angelese office of HL Group.  There, she was responsible for beverage, fashion, luxury lifestyle and design account management and strategic consultation.  She has also worked with other boutique PR agencies, and was a regular speaker at the University of California, Los Angeles.

In addition to the new hires, Alena Shea has been promoted to Account Executive.  Alena has been with the agency since January of 2009, and focuses on the agency’s national health, nutrition, and wellness clients.

New Hire at CLM

CLM in Boise has added a new face.  Joel Bartron has joined the agency as Writer and New Media Coordinator.

Prior to joining CLM, Joel was the founder and writer of the satirical news site The Pith Report, and was also in retail technology sales.  He is a graduate of the University of Montana with a degree in English, and also studied Media Arts.

In addition to all of that, he has taken up the art of beer brewing with his brother — always a useful skill to have, especially in this line of business.

New Hire and Practice Area for Red Sky PR

Red Sky Public RelationsRed Sky Public Relations has added to their staff once again.

Ashley Ford has joined the organization as Public Affairs Practice Group Leader, where she’ll be heading up their new Public Affairs practice.  This practice will serve as the Idaho component of a regional affiliation that also covers Oregon and Washington.  “We see opportunities for a sophisticated, non-partisan public relations approach to working with government at all levels in Idaho,” said Red Sky President Jessica Flynn.

Prior to joining Red Sky, Ashley was the Principal Land Use Planner of the Rose Law Group’s Boise office, where she was involved in a wide range of land use and development issues.  She holds a Masters degree from Idaho State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Truman State University.

Mike Gibson has joined Stoltz Marketing Group as Director of Client Services.  Prior to this role, he was a Senior Account Manager with Wirestone, and also held positions with MicronPC and Qwest.
