DaviesMoore in Boise is beefing up on the account side with three new job openings:

Account Executive

The Account Executive is responsible for daily contact between the agency and client accounts and interfaces with various agency departments to move projects through on behalf of the client. This includes meeting with the creative director concerning creative issues and input, the media director concerning media planning, the public relations director concerning publicity, the director of digital marketing concerning interactive projects, and the production manager concerning scheduling and timing.

The individual who fills this position must be driven and exemplify strong leadership qualities, as well as fit into the agency’s established culture.

The account executive has major input in developing strategic marketing plans for their clients. After plans are developed and presented to clients, the account executive is responsible for carrying out the plan on a daily basis.

The primary area of responsibility for this position is to interface with clients and internal departments, however this individual may also oversee some other account executive/coordinator work as appropriate.

This position requires and individual with the capacity to maintain a high level of awareness and organization with client activities, detail-oriented management, and professional communication with key client contacts as needed.

Digital Account Coordinator – Automotive

The primary area of responsibility for this position is to provide support and coordination on the agency’s largest account specific to digital needs. This includes maintaining a high level of awareness and organization with client activities, detail-oriented management, and professional communication with key client contacts as needed.

The individual who fills this position must be driven and exemplify strong leadership qualities, as well as fit into the agency’s established culture.

Position responsibilities will include:

  • Executing the digital strategy set by the VP of Digital to meet client objectives
  • Tracking and maintaining an organized schedule of all digital jobs to included:Facilitating workflow by coordinating or gathering background information and/or resources needed to complete jobsCreating project timelines and ensuring all work meets client and media deadlines
    • Online banner ads
    • Email blasts
    • Newsletters
    • Social media
  • Participating in and documenting discussions during client meetings and conference calls
  • Supporting the account lead whenever necessary

Digital Account Coordinator

The primary area of responsibility for this position is to provide support and coordination of digital services across DaviesMoore clients. This includes maintaining a high level of awareness and organization with client activities, detail-oriented management, and professional communication with key client contacts as needed.

The individual who fills this position must be driven and exemplify strong leadership qualities, as well as fit into the agency’s established culture that promotes autonomy with results.

Position responsibilities will include:

  • Executing the digital strategy set by the VP of Digital to meet client objectives
  • Tracking and maintaining an organized schedule of all digital jobs to included:Facilitating workflow by coordinating or gathering background information and/or resources needed to complete jobs
    • Online banner ads
    • Email blasts
    • Newsletters
    • Social media
    • SEO/SEM
    • Reporting
  • Creating project timelines and ensuring all work meets client and media deadlines
  • Participating in and documenting discussions during client meetings and conference calls
  • Supporting the account lead whenever necessary

Media Job Opening: Account Executive

The Idaho Business Review has an opening for an Account Executive to join their advertising and sales staff.

Below is an excerpt of the job description that was sent to us recently:

We are seeking an advertising sales representative who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with a strong urgency for goal achievement.

The account executive must have the creativity to always be thinking of new ways to sell. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with media in the State of Idaho, and keep their knowledge of business dealings and the economic markets consistently up to date.

This position is responsible for business development through cold calling, client account management, creating and conducting sales presentations. The successful candidate shall follow and be responsible for the sale from initial client meeting to invoicing, adhering to deadlines and completing tasks in a timely manner.

Signs of Life in Local Radio

Whether it’s a ramp-up for the fourth quarter, filling open and previously-unfilled positions, or truly new hires we can’t say for sure, but within the past few days, the big three radio groups in Boise have all posted job openings online:

Peak Broadcasting is looking for a Radio Sales Account Executive.

Citadel Communications has an opening for an Account Executive for KKGL, KIZN and KZMG.

Journal Broadcast Group is also on the hunt for an Account Executive.

No matter what the driving factor(s) behind the openings, hiring of any sort is a positive sign.
