Boomerang

Back in 2008 we wrote about Jeremy Chase’s departure from Drake Cooper and impending move to Salt Lake City, Utah.

Jeremy ChaseSince then, he went on to broaden his experience with the creative agency Struck, and over 10 years honed his travel and tourism chops with clients like the Utah Office of Tourism, Experience Scottsdale, Catalina Island Company, CMH Heli Ski, Ski Utah, Snowbird, and Sundance. He also was a public speaker and presenter at state, regional and national industry events.

Fast-forward to today, and things have come full circle.

Last month, Jeremy returned to where it all began, and rejoined Drake Cooper as VP of Client Services. In his new role he leads the client services team and collaborates with clients to plan work focused on strategy and results.

Fittingly enough, his first day back at Drake Cooper — Groundhog Day.

Welcome home, Jeremy.

Drake Cooper has added to Andrew Piron’s title

Andrew PironLast month, Drake Cooper announced that Andrew Piron has been named President and Chief Operating Officer. He’ll lead Drake Cooper’s team of employees in both the Boise and Seattle offices, with responsibility for management and operations, and will report directly to the agency’s Chief Executive Officer, Jamie Cooper.

A little Jelli in the middle

A few months ago we wrote about Jelli’s upcoming expansion into Boise, and the new positions they were looking to fill. Then, more recently, our friends over at Boise Dev shared that Jelli would be moving into the then-vacant first floor space in the Drake Cooper building.

And now, they’ve made it official.

On Wednesday, June 7th, Jelli held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at their new office, according to the Idaho Business Review.

With Drake Cooper occupying the floors directly above and below them, we’ll let you fill in the blanks on the sandwich-related jokes.

Congratulations to Jelli on the expansion, and welcome to Boise.

Making waves in the talent pool

These days it’s hard to keep up with all the comings and goings in the agency world. But every once in a while someone makes a big enough splash that it sends waves throughout the entire pool.

This is one of those.

Recently, Mitchell + Palmer announced that Joe Quatrone will be joining their team as Creative Director. Joe, for those who may not be familiar, was a longtime Creative Director at Drake Cooper, before moving from Boise to Seattle about eight years ago. In Seattle, Joe worked at GreenRubino for several years, before branching out on his own with Artists, Vagrants and Thieves in 2015.

Joe brings more than 25 years of experience and additional creative muscle to the Mitchell Palmer team. Over the years he’s worked with clients such as Microsoft, Xerox, Hewlett Packard, Micron, Delta Dental, Coast Hotels, Idaho Lottery, United Dairymen of Idaho, Idaho Tourism, Boy Scouts of America, the LDS Church and many more.

The folks at Mitchell Palmer are obviously pleased with Joe’s decision to join their team. “We’re extremely pleased to have Joe as part of our team,” said Tom Donahoe, Creative Partner at Mitchell Palmer. “We’ve been recruiting Joe for many years, and the lure of low pay and impossible hours proved too irresistible,” he added.

Congratulations, and welcome back Joe.
