For regular readers of the Idaho Ad Agencies blog, you’ve not doubt noticed that updates and new posts have been few and far between. Or, at the very least, they haven’t kept up with the pace that you’ve come to expect from this site.
Even though that’s been the case as of late, there have still been quite a few things happening in and around the marketing, advertising and communications industry. Here’s just a sampling:
SOVRN Creative added a new staff member recently.
SOVRN also won a National Silver ADDY Award for their work on Todd Meier’s “Rapture in Six Cantos” Direct Mail, and completed several spots for the “Go On” campaign from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation.
Red Sky Public Relations welcomed two new folks to their team in the past month or so.
Both the Boise Advertising Federation and AIGA Idaho look to be ramping up events for the season. The Magic Valley Advertising Federation is also maintaining an active schedule, and the Eastern Idaho Advertising Federation looks to be picking up as well.
All in all, there’s a lot going on these day, with more yet to come.
Even if some half-rate hack blogger isn’t covering it nearly as much as they should…
The Idaho Business Review has an opening for an Account Executive to join their advertising and sales staff.
Below is an excerpt of the job description that was sent to us recently:

Whether it’s a ramp-up for the fourth quarter, filling open and previously-unfilled positions, or truly new hires we can’t say for sure, but within the past few days, the big three radio groups in Boise have all posted job openings online:
Peak Broadcasting is looking for a Radio Sales Account Executive.
Citadel Communications has an opening for an Account Executive for KKGL, KIZN and KZMG.
Journal Broadcast Group is also on the hunt for an Account Executive.
No matter what the driving factor(s) behind the openings, hiring of any sort is a positive sign.
Hanna & Associates in Coeur d’Alene has promoted two staff members and added a new face to their office recently.
From the announcement in the North Idaho Business Journal:
Sheila Beaudry has been promoted to Vice President, Comptroller. She has been overseeing the company’s accounting staff and financial operations.
Also promoted was Susan Park to Director of IT Services. Her new position now includes supervising interactive programming development in addition to in-house technology management.
Finally, Ryan Johnson has been hired as Interactive Producer to join Hanna’s Interactive Communications department. He will be responsible for creating web advertising, websites, cell phone messaging, mobile TV, gaming programs and other new media options. A 2008 University of Idaho graduate, Johnson previously served as an IT specialist at Innercept, a therapeutic boarding school specializing in programs for young adults.
Congratulations to all.
