New hire at Hanna & Associates

Hanna & Associates in Coeur d’Alene has added Ian Shea to their staff.

Ian was most recently at 14Four in Spokane, Washington, and joins Hanna & Associates as a web developer. He has worked on interactive campaigns for clients such as Harley Davidson, the NFL, Slim Jim, McDonald’s and the Department of Homeland Security. Ian is a graduate of Eastern Washington University with a BA in graphic communication.

Congratulations Ian.

Editor’s note: This was originally written as a “new hires” (plural) post, but after a quick spin through LinkedIn, it appears that the second one was a short-lived stint an Hanna.

New Cooks in the Oliver Russell kitchen

Oliver Russell has added two new — but presumably unrelated — Cooks to their staff:

Dave Cook Dave Cook joins the shop as its new Creative Director. His portfolio of work includes design, branding, advertising and interactive work for clients including Blue Cross of Idaho, the Cleveland Browns and Indians, Alcoa, Hewlett-Packard, Simplot, Lucky Bums Outdoor Gear for Kids, United Way of Treasure Valley, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and Create Common Good.

On Dave joining Oliver Russell, President and Founder Russ Stoddard said “Dave’s got a creative mind and an incredibly generous spirit – he’s the perfect fit for Oliver Russell.”

Jesse CookJesse Cook has also joined Oliver Russell, and will focus his efforts on strategy and development in Oliver Russell’s digital marketing practice. Before joining the firm he was with Ocean Media in Huntington Beach, CA, where he worked as a digital media planner and buyer.

On Jesse, Russ said “Jesse has the kind of cutting-edge digital media experience you don’t usually find in Boise, a great add to our company offering.”

Congratulations to both.

Hey Look, the Vaughans have new titles

Now we all know that husbands and wives get promotions or new jobs all the time. These two just happened to do it at – or around – the same time.

First it was Tanya Vaughan, who recently became VP, Digital Marketing Services at DaviesMoore. Previously she was Director of Marketing at Cradlepoint, and prior to that was Vice President of Marketing at Bodybuilding.com.

Shortly thereafter, Shane Vaughan left Balihoo, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer, to become President of Ecommerce at Agri Beef.

Congratulations to both. And no squabbling about who has the better job title.

You can scope out the 12+ results over here, but I’ve compiled a quick scorecard of winners (and losers) in areas folks care about.

    2. KCIX/Mix 106 – Peak

A couple of other battles of note: The country battle was a bit of a split decision – KQFC won 12+, but KIZN won among women. KAWO, which was the big story in the last book fell off a bit in most demographics.

Lite FM handily topped KJOT among Christmas stations.

The story of this book might be a collapse at KKGL. As noted above, the station was topped in mornings among men by Mike & Kate on KCIX. Traditionally KCIX is strong with women in the morning and the syndicated Bob & Tom sees big strength among men – but in this book KKGL lost significant ground – with KKGL losing well more than half of its ratings points in the daypart. In another fluke, among 12+, KJOT beat KKGL – though KJOT was fueled by Christmas music, something they can’t sustain in the spring.

For the four groups, Impact and Peak have much to celebrate. Journal and Cumulus have a few bright spots but also feel like they have some work to do I’d imagine.
