BSU Event: Wasn’t That a Party, Eh?

Boise State University’s Canadian Studies Program, as part of Canada Week, is presenting a talk by Ray LeBlond, Director of Corporate Communications for Tourism BC.

From the organizers:

In his presentation Mr. LeBlond will tell some of the inside stories on the Olympics and talk about what happens next — including the economic impact of hosting the Olympics. And of course Vancouver’s motivation behind the winter Olympics was filling hotel rooms there in the winter (since it wasn’t traditionally thought of as a winter destination) so he’ll talk about how they build on the momentum now

Ray’s talk is titled: “Wasn’t that a party, eh? Reliving Canada’s biggest event ever- a few stories, a few lessons and answering the big question- what comes next?”

The event will be held in the Lookout Room of the Student Union Building at Boise State University and is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

It is free and open to the public.
