New hire at Publicis Boise

Bobby KasperWhile we don’t hear much out of the Publicis Boise office, we did get word recently that they’ve added Bobby Kasper as Art Director.

From their release about the new hire:

At Publicis Boise, Bobby provides graphic design, concept development and file preparation/production for assigned accounts while supporting new business activities. His responsibilities also include assisting the Production Director in fulfillment of sales and marketing kits and materials.

Prior to joining Publicis Boise, he worked at local design agencies and Boise State University Campus Services providing graphic design and production support of marketing materials.

People on the Move

We’ve been…let’s just say lax…about keeping up on new hires and such around the state lately. That being said, here’s what’s been happening lately:

Wire Stone
[wire] stoneIn February, Wire Stone announced the formalization of practice areas for Client Engagement and Delivery Management to complement the existing Creative, Technology and Strategy disciplines. With that, they also announced that Bill Coffey has been promoted to Chief of Delivery Management.

Coffey brings more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology, channel marketing, project management and business strategy to this role. Having previously served as Director of Operations, he spent the last several years providing business intelligence and internal reporting insights while elevating project management practices.

In addition, Chad Brusse has been promoted from Senior Copywriter to Copy Director and Functional Manager of the Boise office’s copy team.

Oliver Russell
Mike StevensIn March, Oliver Russell added art director Mike Stevens to its staff.

As an art director, Stevens will develop engaging visual solutions for interactive, print, and motion graphics projects. A self-professed ski bum, prior to Oliver Russell he worked for Scott USA, Sun Valley Magazine, and Wood River Technologies in Sun Valley, Idaho. He is experienced in a broad range of design, from print to interactive, from textiles to tradeshow exhibits. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Whitworth University, majoring in business administration with a minor in design.

Foerstel Design
Cody GaeckAlso in March, Foerstel Design added to their staff, with Cody Gacek joining their team as a web designer and developer.

Cody comes with eight years of experience and most recently has worked as a contract agent for Foerstel. He moved to Boise about two years ago from Phoenix, in part because of its positive vibe and variety of outdoor activities such as mountain biking.

Molly Blackaby Harder

Yes indeed, growth is good. And for the folks at c308 Marketing, growth has taken shape as two new additions to their team — Molly Blackaby Harder and Joan Cleary

Molly Blackaby HarderMolly joins c308 as their new media director. She has over 20 years of experience working with local, regional and national clients and will build and manage broadcast, print, digital and outdoor campaigns for our clients.

Her contagious laugh and warm personality, combined with her ability to drive marketing strategy through expertly crafted and executed media plans make her an asset to both our client roster and the local advertising community.

Joan ClearyJoan joins c308 as a digital content producer and copywriter. She is a graduate of the University of Montana’s English program with an emphasis in creative writing and film studies. Joan spent the summer before graduation in Los Angeles as an intern for Recommended Media, assisting producers and office managers.

She is a talented writer who brings her wit and passion for smart creative to each video, web, and traditional advertising project she works on.

New year. New hires at Drake Cooper

Screwball headline aside, Drake Cooper started off the new year with two senior-level additions to their staff: Colleen Morgan, who’s joining as Sr. Graphic Designer and Susan Becker, joining as Brand Manager.

Colleen MorganColleen brings over 16 years of design and advertising goodness to Drake Cooper. In that time, she has lived in the agency world as well as both corporate and non-profit sectors while honing her skills in branding, design and creative strategy. Susan Becker

Susan BeckerSusan brings over fifteen years of marketing experience to her role at Drake Cooper, seven of those being with Portland-based Columbia Sportswear. As the promotions operations manager for Columbia she developed sponsorship programs with partners including NBC’s 2002 Winter Olympics, ESPN’s XGames, Sundance Film Festival, and The Discovery Channel. Since moving to Boise in 2008 Susan’s roles have included marketing manager at BOB Trailers, sponsorship manager with The Exergy Tour, and various consulting roles for businesses in the area.

New Creative Director and Digital Media Producer at Stoltz Marketing Group

Ward Duft

Stoltz Marketing Group in Boise recently added two new faces to its staff: Ward Duft as creative director and Bill Doty as digital media producer.

Ward DuftIn his new role at SMG, Duft will oversee the agency’s creative team in the development of campaigns and concepts for clients in a variety of industries, including construction and building materials, insurance, healthcare, foodservice, consumer packaged goods, agribusiness, resort/travel, financial services, higher education, and more.

“Ward brings more to the table than just creative ideas,” says Ken Stoltz, president of SMG. “He delivers a unique blend of strategic insights and creativity and inspires others to do their best work. We’re all looking forward to the growth and success he will help us achieve.”

Prior to joining SMG, Duft served as creative director at Magner Sanborn, located in Spokane and Seattle, where he developed integrated campaigns for national, regional, and local clients and helped the agency earn Ad Age’s 2012 West Coast Small Agency of the Year. He’s also worked for agencies and companies in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Seattle for brands such as Eddie Bauer, Intel, Westin Hotels, Disney, Nordstrom, and Birkenstock. Duft received his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University and studied post baccalaureate at Duke University and Seattle’s School of Visual Concepts.

Bill DotyBill Doty joins the agency as digital media producer. Prior to SMG, he worked for Turner Broadcasting for three years, writing and producing content for digital media and television. During his career he’s been a featured producer for Funny or Die, Adult Swim, Comedy Central, and Fox Network. He’s written for The Onion, Broken Newz, Yahoo!, AOL, and National Lampoon, working in markets such as Los Angeles, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and New York. Doty studied communications at Fresno State.
