Rockie Awards – the Aftermath

The 2012 Rockie Awards Show came and went last Saturday evening. Awards were won, jokes were told, merriment was had by all, and as best as we can tell, no one left the Egyptian Theatre with any major injuries. Now the Bullwinkles on the other hand…

Congratulations to all of this year’s winners, and while we don’t yet have the final list of award winners, I expect that it will be posted on the Boise Advertising Federation’s website soon.

And special congratulations go out to Chuck Christopher of Advantage Adverising, winner of this year’s Silver Medal Award, and Neighborhood All-Stars, whose Story Story Night work took home Best of Show.

2012 Rockie Awards Show

Tickets are now on sale for the 2012 Rockie Awards. This year’s show starts at 8:00 p.m. at the Egyptian Theatre in Boise, following a reception starting at 6:00 at North by Northwest. Immediately following The Rockies, The Bullwinkles — the official after party — kicks off at the Rose Room downtown.

Tickets are available now, but are going fast. Be sure to place your order soon.

Call for Nominations: The Bullwinkles

Perhaps you’ve been to them in the past. Or you’ve heard rumor about this fabled event. But even if you haven’t experienced the drama and debauchery yet, you’ll soon have your chance:

The Bullwinkles are back.

And their call for nominations is now open. From our friends organizing this year’s Bullwinkles event:

We had a dream. A dream that someday there would be an awards ceremony celebrating the people and organizations that have somehow fallen through the cracks in the Rockies. From these fissures of the forgotten rises the most auspicious awards affair in the history of this celebrated evening: The Bullwinkles.

Job Opening: Graphic Designer

An unnamed agency in Lewiston has an opening for a Graphic Designer. From the job listing on Craigslist:

Advertising agency is looking to hire an experienced, full-time graphic artist in Lewiston, ID. Qualified candidates should excel in Photoshop, Illustrator, Mac platform. Video experience in Motion, After-Effects, Final Cut Pro a plus. Must be deadline-driven, able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Responsibilities for this position will include working directly with clients, basic office management skills, and occasional field production. Qualified candidates should be able to jump right in and begin work, producing high-quality print collateral and motion graphics.
