Carew Co, fresh off their third anniversary, has added Thomas Walsh to their staff as a designer. He’s a graduate of Boise State University with a BFA in Graphic Design, and has been an AIGA member since 2007.

Kelly Mitchell, a graphic designer for 21 years with Pete Wilson DesignWorks, has been promoted to Managing Partner of the firm. He has been a project leader and designer for a variety of clients over the years, including work for Hewlett-Packard.
Kelly is a graduate of Boise State University, with a B.A. in Graphic Design.
Yes, this is a break from the norm when it comes to job listings. Boise State Public Radio is a great organization in my opinion, and one worth supporting — and in this case it means doing so by giving their job opening a little more visibility.
Boise State Public Radio has an opening for an Underwriting Representative. From the job listing:
Boise State Public Radio invites interested applicants for the position of Underwriting Representative to become a part of our public radio team. Under the direction of the Corporate Support Manager, the Representative has a highly visible position and will act as one of the station’s ambassadors to the business community including advertising agencies and media buyers. Primary responsibility includes securing financial support for Boise State Public Radio programs, special events, challenge grants and local program production. The Representative will develop and maintain sales accounts, including targeting markets, initiating sales calls, sales appointments, presentations, prospecting, proposals, closing the sales and customer relations.

The Boise Advertising Federation’s final event of the season is coming up on Thursday, May 20th. At this event they’ll recognize Past Presidents, introduce the new Board of Directors, and see this year’s Boise State University NSAC team’s presentation.
Check-in starts at 5:00 p.m. at Beside Bardenay. Past Presidents recognition will take place at 5:30, and the BSU/NSAC presentation is at 6:00. Social hour at 6:30.
The event is $10 for BAF members, and $15 for non-members, which includes your first drink and appetizers.
Boise State University’s Senior Portfolio Show is coming up this Wednesday, April 28th, at the Powerhouse Events Center.
From the event’s description on the AIGA Idaho website:
During this spring semester Students have prepared a portfolio which they going to use to enter the professional job market. Students have also participated in revising and editing their existing work. Many students have also added new work. A key component to this process is selecting an appropriate presentational format, and developing self-promotional products and strategies. And now “finally” they are sharing their finished portfolios with the professional design community.
The show is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., with 5:00 – 6:00 serving as the Professionals’ Hour, and 6:00 – 9:00 open to the public.
