Job Opening at Mitchell + Palmer

Mitchell + Palmer in Boise has an opening for a Web Developer. From the job listing on Craigslist:

Mitchell + Palmer is looking for a web developer!

Can you sling code like it’s nobody’s business? Able to rock it in an office environment and work well with others? If you can work hard and play hard, you just may be what we’re looking for.

Our ideal candidate is someone who writes HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript with web standards in mind. We would prefer someone proficient in ASP.NET C# and MS SQL but we’d also like to meet you if you’re more comfortable in a LAMP environment. You must be able to take work from designers and re-create the vision for the web. Above all, we value the willingness to learn and being able to get the job done in a time sensitive environment.

More details about the position, including how to apply, can be found in the original job listing.

And if you’re not up to taking on the dart challenge against Billy, let me know. I’ll do it.

New Hire at Mitchell + Palmer

Mitchell + Palmer continues to make moves and show some momentum. Most recently, they announced that they’ve added Kourtney Flaherty to their staff as Production Manager.

Prior to joining Mitchell + Palmer Kourtney spent several years with Oliver Russell, and was most recently E-Communications Manager at Treasure Valley Family YMCA.

Congratulations Kourtney.

Open House Party at Mitchell + Palmer

Earlier this year Mitchell + Palmer moved into their new office space on Bogus Basin Road in Boise. Now, they’re finally ready to have an open house / house party and break in the office the right way

More details about the party are available here: M+P: A Full Service Open House Party

There’s a Whole Lot of Moving Going On

Maybe it’s the time of year. Perhaps it’s the amount of vacant office space available. Or it could be something entirely different.  No matter how you look at it, there’s a whole lot of moving going on in the agency world lately.

For example:

Red Sky Public Relations: Red Sky recently (well, within the past six months or so) moved their office from the space on 9th Street to what used to be Balihoo’s space down in BoDo.

Mitchell + Palmer: The folks at Mitchell + Palmer have moved north just a bit, leaving their space on Hill Road for what we presume to be a larger location off of Bogus Basin Road, and judging by the number of new faces around their shop, the extra space was sorely needed.

c308 Marketing: c308 left the familiar halls of the Hoff Building and moved into a space at 14th & Idaho, across from the WaterCooler.

Stoltz Marketing Group: After more than a decade on Main Street, above two restaurants – first Zutto, now Flatbread Community Oven – Stoltz Marketing Group is moving to the Cornerstone Building at 9th and River. Not one to mess with a trend, they’ll still be above a restaurant. This time, however, it’ll be a few floors up from Cottonwood Grille.

DaviesMoore: The most recent shop (that we know of, at least) to throw their hat into the moving ring, DaviesMoore recently signed a lease for space in the 805 Idaho Building (also known as the Boise National Bank Building), according to the listings in the Idaho Business Review. If I had to venture a guess, I’d suspect they’ll be moving by the end of the summer.

Are there others that we’ve missed?

UPDATE:

Glaring oversight on my part — Noot Group recently moved as well – from their space on Broadway to a new location in Bown Crossing. (Thanks for the reminder James).

New Hires at Mitchell + Palmer

And in other new hire news…

Mitchell + Palmer has added to their staff recently:

Andy Petersen has joined the agency in what I’m assuming is an account service type of role. The smoke signals and tea leaves weren’t quite clear on this one, but we’ll go with what we know…  Previously, Andy worked on the account side at Donahoe Pace.  He is a graduate of Boise State University.

Jeremy Oliver has also joined Mitchell + Palmer as a graphic designer. Jeremy is a recent graduate of Boise State University and certain to get picked on for being the new guy, at least until a newer one comes along.

Congratulations to both.
